PromOTe Occupational Therapy is developed by Occupational Therapists, Ashay and Asmita Mudholkar (husband and wife team). They both graduated from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Mumbai, India with a Bachelors in Occupational Therapy in 2007.
Asmita completed her Master’s in OT from the State University of New York at Buffalo and Ashay completed his MBA in Health and Hospital Administration from Pune, India. They both got married in 2011 and moved to Australia in early 2012.
Ashay Mudholkar (Ash)
Ashay is the principal OT of PromOTe OT. He services Central Highlands region, Longreach and surroundings.
He enjoys working with kids and adults alike and has a keen interest in Paediatrics and early intervention.
Ashay has worked with kids of all ages. He has experience of working with children with difficulties with sensory processing, social skills, play, attention, feeding, self-care, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, and organisation. His particular interest is working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He thoroughly enjoys working with the kids and making a positive contribution to their ongoing development.
Ashay is dedicated to furthering professional development through networking and attending seminars and workshops.
Outside work Ash enjoys trekking, cooking and Cricket.
Cerie is an Ipswich based paediatric Occupational Therapist providing services to Ipswich and surrounding areas. In 2017, Cerie graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours).
Cerie enjoys working with children to support them in reaching their full potential and achieving their goals. Cerie’s interest is in handwriting, fine and gross motor skills and sensory processing.
Besides OT, Cerie enjoys spending time with family, bush walking and travelling.
Asmita specialises in early intervention and school based therapy. She has worked with children who have sensory processing issues, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Autism, Aspergers, and Dysgraphia. Asmita also works with children who are academically delayed, and whose struggles with handwriting affect their overall school performance. Asmita is Level 1 Certified Therapist with Handwriting Without Tears program.
Asmita has varied experience including working with seniors in Skilled nursing facilities, working with children in clinic-based settings, hand therapy, oedema management, home modifications, equipment prescriptions, etc.
Asmita currently works as Senior Occupational Therapist with QLD health at Emerald Hospital. At PromOTe OT, Asmita mainly looks after administration and practice management.
